Sharing for this week is what I want for Christmas.  Please bring a picture (it could be from a catalog or you can draw it) of the ONE thing you want most for Christmas.  Give THREE good reasons why you should have this gift.

I will not be at the Winter Concert on Monday, December 8th.  My first granddaughter turns one on Monday.  We are having a special Birthday celebration to honor this wonderful day.

The Winter Concert is Monday, December 8th at 7:00 in the H.S. Auditorium.  Each grade is assigned to a room at the High School.  You will need to drop your child off and pick them up after the concert from that room.  Parents/adults must sign out their child before they will be allowed to leave the room.

Please check to make sure your child has their shoes in the backpack before walking out the front door.  In addition, they must be dressed in the appropriate clothing to be outside.  Several students have NOT had gloves/mittens or snow pants.  Even though there may not be snow, the extra layers of clothing will help your child be more comfortable at recess.

If you have any questions or concerns, please send a note/e-mail, stop by, or call.

Dress Rehearsal at High School

I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving!  It is hard to believe Christmas is right around the corner.  The Winter Program is on Monday, December 8th at 7:00 in the High School Auditorium.  Doors open at 6:15  -  No intermission.  Please make plans to attend this event.

Sharing for this week is the ideal lunch.  What would you tell the cooks you would like for lunch?  Think of a main course item, a fruit or vegetable, and items for the salad bar.  This week’s sharing will be graded for speaking in Language.  Please help your child prepare for this.

Don’t forget to make sure your child has all the clothing needed to be outside.  That would include hat, gloves/mittens, and a warm coat.  If there is snow:  boots and snow pants.  Because of the cold temperatures, I would recommend that snow pants and boots be worn.  This is even if there isn’t any snow on the ground.

If you have any questions or concerns, stop by, call/send an e-mail, or stop by.

Thanksgiving Greetings…
November  24, 2014

We have two days of school this week and three days of Thanksgiving break.  Because of that, we will not be starting Week Two of Theme Four in Reading.
We will use these two days to catch up in various areas of the curriculum.  We have had several people gone because of illness, so make-up testing will be going on.

Don’t forget the Winter Concert on Monday, December 8th at 7:00, with doors opening at 6:15 in the High School Auditorium.  There will not be an intermission.  Please plan to attend this festive event.

The end of the First Semester and/or Second Quarter is Friday, December 19th.  Hard to believe, we have been in school half a year on December 19th
We have two early outs in December, Wednesday, December 3rd and Wednesday, December 17th

Please remind your child to pack their shoes to wear during the day.  I have had several forget to pack their regular shoes.

We cleaned out lockers on Wednesday, November 19th, so if you saw several pieces of clothing come home, that is why.  If your child is missing something, our Lost and Found Table is growing.  Please get a pass in the office, and take a look for yourself.  There is a sign on the wall showing the direction to look.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a safe and enjoyable Thanksgiving Break.  We all have a lot to be “Thankful For”.  I am thankful for such good students and their supportive parents.  Enjoy your time with family and friends.

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!!                                  Lavon Tanner

When we have snow on the ground, all students must wear snow pants and snow boots.  Please make sure to pack a hat and gloves/mittens!!!
